چکیده
Natural antifoulants have received significant interest in the search for non- or less-toxic antifouling coating systems marine structures. Capsaicin, a natural compound that can be found chili peppers, is known as an environmentally friendly agent with excellent performance and low environmental impact. However, controlling its release from matrix still issue to solved. With aim of developing eco-friendly system prolonged long-term activity, this study, we incorporated capsaicin combination dichlofluanid into water-based acrylic formulations. The activity resulting coatings was studied by examining survival behavior Gram-negative bacterium Aeromonas Salmonoid ATCC 33658, rate paint also assessed. 0.75 wt.% same showed antibacterial up 99.9% cfu reduction value R 2.5–3 times higher than those obtained single biocides at 1.5 wt.%. association between two organic created synergistic effect on performance, further activity.

Modern approaches to marine antifouling coatings
Marine structures such as platforms, jetties and ship hulls are subject to diverse and severe biofouling. Methods for inhibiting both organic and inorganic growth on wetted substrates are varied but most antifouling systems take the form of protective coatings. Biofouling can negatively affect the hydrodynamics of a hull by increasing the required propulsive power and the fuel consumption. This...

Optoelectronic tweezers enables parallel manipulation of individual single cells using optical addressing and optically induced dielectrophoretic force. This provides a useful platform for performing a variety of biological functions, such as cell manipulation, cell sorting, and cell electroporation. However, in order to obtain more reliable cellular manipulation, especially of adherent mammali...

Since the prohibition of tributyltin (TBT)-based antifouling paints in 2008, the development of environmentally compatible and commercially realizable alternatives is a crucial issue. Cost effective fabrication of antifouling paints with desired physical and biocompatible features is simultaneously required and recent developments in the direction of inorganic nanomaterials could play a major r...

In this study, acrylated soybean oil (AESO) was used as modifying agent for DGEBF-type epoxy resin (ER). AESO was used as a co-matrix in 50 wt % with ER. Composites with ecofriendly natural fillers-banana bark and seashell were prepared. MNA was used as a hardener. Effect of banana peel (BP) and seashell (SSh) fillers on mechanical properties, such as tensile strength, elongation at break, and ...
متن کاملBiocides for Antifouling Marine Coatings – Issues in Reactivity, Performance, and Ecotoxicity
For centuries, owners of private, commercial and military sea vessels have attempted, with varying degrees of success, to surface treat their underwater hulls with coatings to prevent the adhesion and/or growth of large fouling organisms that cause severe drag, reducing vessel speed and maneuverability, and increasing fuel consumption. Two major approaches are currently under development: (1) “...
